Bitcoin Holds Near $64,296 as Traders Eye FOMC Minutes
Crypto markets are holding steady today, with Bitcoin trading near $64,296 and Ethereum above $1,911. The price of Bitcoin has gained 0.21% over the past 24 hours, while Ethereum has risen by 0.95%. According to Prateek Gupta from Mudrex, 'Bitcoin briefly reclaimed $65,000 as risk sentiment improved'.
However, Traders are now tracking both the FOMC minutes release and a White House meeting between crypto executives and President Trump for the next clear directional signal. The move could be a low-volume liquidity trap built on short covering, as suggested by CryptoQuant data.
The 30-year US Treasury yield has climbed to 5.34%, its highest since January 2007, which may weigh on risk assets. But whales have accumulated near $2.64 billion worth of BTC over the past two months, indicating continued dip buying.
