Bitcoin Holds Near $79K as AI Trade Expands Beyond Semiconductors
Bitcoin is hovering near $79,000 after a sharp rebound this week. The cryptocurrency briefly traded above $80,000 but momentum has cooled as investors bet on another Federal Reserve rate hike.
The U.S. AI trade is broadening from semiconductors into software and cybersecurity. NVIDIA reported quarterly revenue of $96.22 billion, including $89 billion from its Data Center business, and guided for roughly $108 billion in revenue next quarter.
Software companies like Salesforce, CrowdStrike, and Okta are also delivering strong results, suggesting that AI demand remains strong. However, the latest earnings season is producing new signals from the software side.
The AI narrative is changing, with investors now asking whether enterprises will keep paying for AI software, agents, identity services, and cybersecurity. If the answer remains yes, the AI rally could broaden into a wider group of technology stocks.
