Bitcoin traded sideways ahead of the weekend, but remained above $77,000 despite dipping as low as $76,000 earlier in the week.

The price of bitcoin fell below $80,000 on September 11 after U.S. inflation data was released, but quickly recovered and made a short-lived attempt to retest the $80,000 mark.

According to Glassnode and CryptoQuant, major resistance above the current price is preventing sustained gains in the market.

In related news, hackers returned approximately 3,400 out of 4,000 BTC stolen from Liquid Network on September 8. The remaining 598 BTC, worth around $47 million, were retained by the hackers.
