Bitcoin Holds Steady Amid Global Market Turmoil

Bitcoin held steady at around $78,000 as global markets reacted to heightened geopolitical tension following a US airstrike on an Iranian island. The strike sent shockwaves through energy markets, with West Texas Intermediate crude oil rising nearly 2% to $85.10 per barrel and Brent crude reaching $92.39.

The cryptocurrency's resilience was a notable exception among safe-haven assets, as gold dropped 0.8% to $4,418 per ounce and Nasdaq futures slipped 0.5%. Bitcoin's limited price fluctuation during the market turmoil stood in contrast to its strong performance in August, which saw it gain 23%, outpacing gold's 9% increase and the Nasdaq's 4% advance.

Market analyst Ted Pillows predicted a possible pullback to $74,000 before targeting moves above $81,000. Large investors acquired 39,154 BTC, worth around $3 billion, in the past week, according to blockchain analytics specialist Ali Charts.
