Bitcoin Holds Steady Amid Global Market Volatility
Bitcoin held steady near $64,250 on Wednesday, showing little movement despite global market fluctuations. Meanwhile, other cryptocurrencies saw varying degrees of growth, but none as significant as Solana's 2% gain to nearly $77.
The major chip stocks in Korea experienced a sharp decline of over 7%, with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix leading the slide. This downturn sent shockwaves throughout the Asian market, causing the Kospi index to drop by over 6%.
The global semiconductor gauge also dropped more than 3%, following a similar trend seen in the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index on Tuesday. The bond market suffered as well, with 30-year U.S. yields reaching their highest levels since 2007 and 10-year yields nearing those of early 2025.
