Bitcoin Holds Steady at $63,000 as Cosmos and Pump.fun Lead Gains
The cryptocurrency market is experiencing a risk-off sentiment as Bitcoin (BTC) holds steady around $63,000 on Friday. Despite this, Cosmos (ATOM) and Pump.fun (PUMP) are bucking the trend with significant gains over the last 24 hours.
CoinMarketCap's Fear and Greed Index stands at 37, indicating mildly risk-averse conditions. This is below the neutral zone, suggesting a cautious market tone.
From a technical perspective, Bitcoin's price has breached an upward support trendline near $63,955, now acting as an overhead barrier. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) and Relative Strength Index (RSI) are also bearish indicators, hinting at softer momentum.
Cosmos, on the other hand, is experiencing a bullish near-term bias after breaking above a long-term resistance trendline last week. ATOM has risen 3% on Friday and 7% in the past day, with its price holding above the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $1.4857.
