Bitcoin Holds Steady Near $64K as Weak Risk Appetite Weighs on Crypto Markets

Bitcoin held steady near $64,000, while Ethereum lagged behind due to weak risk appetite in crypto markets. The global market capitalization slipped 2% to $2.19 trillion according to CoinMarketCap.

Riya Sehgal from Delta Exchange pointed out that Bitcoin's one-year realized volatility is at 42%, and the implied-volatility gauge is around 37, near multi-year lows. This divergence indicates a tightly coiled market where a significant catalyst could trigger increased volatility.

Technically, Bitcoin remains constructive above $64,100-$64,700, but repeated rejections near $66,500-$67,200 show fading upside momentum. Ethereum is weaker below $1,880-$1,890, with $1,790 serving as key structural support.
