Bitcoin Idle Holdings Reach Record High Amid Market Uncertainty
Fidelity Digital Assets has reported that nearly 15 million Bitcoin have remained idle for at least 155 days, marking a record high. This trend is seen as a possible signal of a market bottom by analysts.
Zack Wainwright, an analyst, notes that rising long-term holdings are following a pattern similar to past market bottoms. Historically, long-term holdings have increased during bear markets and decreased during bull markets.
Despite 40% of current long-term holdings being at an unrealized loss, investors continue to hold rather than sell, which Wainwright describes as a positive signal.
