Bitcoin Investors Who Shaped the Market

Bitcoin investing has evolved significantly since its early days, and some individuals have played a crucial role in shaping this market. Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), is one such figure. The company started buying Bitcoin in 2020 and has since amassed the world's largest publicly disclosed corporate BTC treasury, holding over 845,000 BTC acquired for approximately $63.7 billion at an average price of $75,412 per coin.

This represents just over 4% of Bitcoin's maximum supply of 21 million. Saylor has also personally invested in Bitcoin and has stated that he has never sold any of his personal holdings.

Another notable investor is Tim Draper, who bought 29,656 BTC in a 2014 auction after it was seized from the Silk Road marketplace. Although the current value of his holdings is not publicly verifiable, Draper's early investment in Bitcoin helped establish its legitimacy as an institutional asset.
