Bitcoin Jumps Above $79K as Trump's Iran Peace Signals Boost Market
Bitcoin surged above $79K on September 14 after US President Donald Trump hinted at an end to the US-Iran conflict, which has pushed oil prices lower.
The move erased weekend losses and left Bitcoin up around 3% on the day. Trump's posts on Truth Social suggested Iran is willing to negotiate a deal quickly, with oil prices expected to drop once the military conflict ends.
Oil prices did briefly dip after Trump's comments but stabilized, with US WTI crude holding above $100 per barrel and Brent crude trading at $105 per barrel.
The Federal Reserve is widely expected to raise interest rates on September 17, with a 25-basis-point hike now priced in at 92.7%, up from 59.4% a week earlier.
