Bitcoin Liquidation Fuels GPUS Data Center Expansion and Revenue Growth
Hyperscale Data (GPUS) shares rose by 5.50% to $0.1208 after the company announced it would sell its Bitcoin holdings to fund its Michigan-based AI data center facility.
The sale of approximately 100 Bitcoin units generated around $6.48 million in capital, which will be used for equipment procurement, site preparation, and critical infrastructure components at the Michigan campus.
The company's partnership with a prominent neo-cloud infrastructure operator will see it provide approximately 20 megawatts of critical computing infrastructure at the Michigan location over a decade-long agreement that includes two additional five-year renewal options.
Under full extension scenarios, projected cumulative revenue surpasses $1.2 billion, with the contracting party maintaining rights to secure an additional 32 megawatts of computing capacity within the contract's initial 24 months.
