Trump Media and Technology Group reported a $238 million net loss in Q2 2026, primarily driven by falling crypto prices. The company's balance sheet is heavily tied to digital assets, with its Bitcoin holdings shrinking to 9,477 BTC (worth $557 million) by June 30.

The planned merger between Trump Media, Crypto.com, and Yorkville Acquisition was canceled due to market conditions and changing priorities. This move removes what would have been Trump Media's clearest bet on the Cronos token.

Trump Media now plans to revamp its digital asset treasury strategy, aiming to preserve long-term crypto exposure while controlling volatility. The company is leveraging Bitcoin options to manage price swings and collect premium income, as well as putting some Bitcoin to work through lending and yield-generating arrangements.
