Bitcoin LTHs Profit-Take Amid Price Surge
Bitcoin's recent price surge has led to increased attention on long-term holder (LTH) behavior in the market. Instead of selling their holdings, LTHs are taking measured profits during periods of strength.
The Long-Term Holder SOPR data shows a notable spike after similar peaks around April 5th and June 21st. However, the metric has dropped to about 0.85 since then, indicating that LTHs continue to take profits.
Despite this profit-taking behavior, broader ownership trends remain constructive. The LTH/STH Realized Cap Ratio has climbed to 3.9, approaching the historical 4.0 cycle-bottom threshold.
The shift in capital towards Bitcoin's LTHs reinforces an accumulation-driven market structure. This is evident as fewer liquid coins remain available, despite periodic profit-taking.
