Bitcoin Market Correction May Not Be Over Yet: $40k-$50k Target Confirmed
Bitcoin's market correction is far from over, according to Michael Terpin, author of Bitcoin Supercycle. Terpin predicts that BTC could retreat to $40,000 to $50,000 before starting a new bullish cycle.
The prediction is based on the 'Four Seasons of Bitcoin' model, which is tied to the rhythm of halvings. Historically, bear market phases following bull runs last for 9-11 months, and market bottoms generally occur 12 months after the peak.
Terpin's analysis also relies on the law of diminishing returns and losses, which suggests that each cycle presents smaller percentage corrections compared to historical drops of 80% to 85%. He re-evaluates his target range for the market bottom between $39,000 and $55,000, while warning that a temporary capitulation phase could bring the price into contact with the low $40,000 zone.
Despite the short-term downward pressure, Terpin believes that large-scale capital will wait for clear confirmation of selling pressure exhaustion before proceeding with aggressive accumulation. This marked phase of uncertainty and volatility will precede the transition to bitcoin's sixth cycle, during which the weakest hands will surrender their tokens.
