Bitcoin Miner Hyperscale Sells Off BTC to Fuel Michigan AI Facility Expansion
Hyperscale Data, a Las Vegas-based company listed on the NYSE American under the ticker GPUS, has sold about 685 Bitcoin to fund the expansion of its Michigan data center. The sale generated around $43 million in revenue for the company.
The proceeds from the sale will primarily be used to continue developing and expanding the Michigan facility. This move also gives Hyperscale more flexibility to manage its debt, equity, and broader capital structure, with approximately $30 million of debt reduced as a result.
According to Executive Chairman Milton Ault, 'We have built a substantial Bitcoin position, and today we have the ability to convert a portion of that highly liquid asset into capital that can accelerate the development of one of the most important assets in our portfolio.' The sale does not mark an end to Hyperscale's Bitcoin strategy, as it plans to continue mining Bitcoin and may use mining output and available capital to rebuild its holdings over time.
The Michigan facility is central to Hyperscale’s shift toward AI infrastructure. Through its wholly owned Sentinum subsidiary, the company operates the data center, mines digital assets, and provides colocation and hosting services for AI companies and other businesses.
