Bitcoin Miners Abandon Ship for AI Data Centers
Bitcoin miners are abandoning their operations to focus on AI data centers due to the significantly higher cash flow generated by High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure. According to fresh numbers, HPC delivers a cumulative $7.9 million in cash flow per megawatt over five years, compared to just $1.9 million from Bitcoin mining.
This shift is prompting major players like TerraWulf and Core Scientific to exit BTC mining without losing faith in the asset itself. The same power infrastructure, real estate, and capital expenditures (capex) are now being utilized for AI customers who can pay more.
The current market price of BTC is $64,040.19, which is within its Bollinger band with support from the EMA50 at $63,788.74 and EMA200 at $63,653.3. The MACD also holds a golden cross at 160.32, and RSI sits neutral at 55.23.
