Bitcoin Miners Diversify into AI Infrastructure Amid Revenue Decline
Bitcoin miners have been shifting their focus towards artificial intelligence infrastructure due to decreased revenue. The decline in earnings has forced them to explore alternative ways to maintain profitability.
According to recent data, transaction fee revenues for Bitcoin miners dropped to between $96 million and $114 million in the summer of 2026, while the price of BTC remained within the range of $60,000 to $65,000.
Certain companies, including Canaan, MARA, and Riot, have taken steps to sell their reserves and increase liquidity. These measures may be aimed at mitigating the effects of decreased revenue on their operations.
