Bitcoin Mines Reach New Heights with Record 932 BTC Output
American Bitcoin mines have reported a record-breaking 932 BTC mined in Q2, exceeding their previous high of 817 BTC in May. The company also revealed that it now holds over 8,000 BTC in its reserves.
The mining operation posted a net loss of $57.2 million this quarter, a significant improvement from the $81.8 million loss incurred in Q1. This narrowing of losses was largely due to a $71.2 million non-cash loss on digital assets and an operating loss of $74.1 million as Bitcoin fell approximately 12% over the quarter.
The strong mining production has not been enough to offset market-driven asset write-downs and operational strain, according to CryptoPotato's previous report on Q1 losses. The company noted that despite record-breaking mining output, strong BTC mining production has not yet offset market-driven asset write downs and operational strain.
