Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Drops Again Amid Ongoing Volatility
Bitcoin's mining difficulty has dropped for the tenth time this year, marking a decline of 1.31% and bringing it near its lowest point at 125.81 trillion. This decrease is attributed to ongoing miner capitulation, with around 150 exahash per second of mining power disappearing from the network.
The drop in difficulty follows seven increases throughout the year, leaving miners with tight margins and an uncertain future. Despite Bitcoin's price recovery since its October 2025 peak, narrowing the gap by 38.8%, the mining sector remains volatile with potential for further shakeouts before stability returns.
