Bitcoin Mining Pools Shift Focus Beyond Hasrate
Bitcoin mining pools have undergone significant changes in recent months due to declining hashrate and difficulty adjustments. This shift has forced older machines, high-cost sites, and financially constrained operators offline.
The leading pools, including Foundry USA, AntPool, F2Pool, and ViaBTC, are evolving beyond mere hashrate aggregation and reward distribution. They now offer tools for managing multi-asset balances, merged-mining rewards, automatic withdrawals, conversion, and working capital.
Miners are increasingly prioritizing revenue predictability, with PPS+ and FPPS emerging as attractive options due to reduced exposure to short-term fluctuations in pool luck. In contrast, SOLO mining continues to appeal to home miners and technical enthusiasts, offering a lottery-style experience.
