Bitcoin Nears Crucial Resistance Level as Inverse Head-and-Shoulders Pattern Takes Shape
Bitcoin is approaching a crucial resistance level near $66,600 as part of an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern formation. According to market technician Aksel Kibar, this setup has traders bracing for what could be one of the more consequential moves of the year.
The inverse head-and-shoulders pattern has been forming on Bitcoin's daily chart since the June lows, built from three troughs with the middle one being the deepest. The line connecting those recovery points is the neckline, which currently sits near $66,600. A sustained break above this level would confirm the bullish pattern and potentially trigger a price surge.
Technical analysis projects a measured upside target near $76,000 if the pattern confirms. This figure isn't arbitrary - it's calculated from the distance between the head and the neckline, then projected upward from the breakout point. The structure has been building since early June, and it comes after Bitcoin's price peaked at $126,000 in October of last year before sliding into a prolonged bear market.
