Bitcoin Network Split: BIP-110 Fork Trails Behind by 18 Blocks
A split in the Bitcoin network has seen the BIP-110 fork trail behind by 18 blocks after a chain split at block height 961632.
Roughnecks, a mining pool supporting BIP-110, managed to mine two consecutive blocks on the minority chain, but the main chain has continued to outpace it.
The main chain's difficulty adjustment to 127.48 trillion has made life even more challenging for the BIP-110 fork, which is struggling to keep up with the same level of computing power.
Ocean-linked hashrate has broken ranks and joined the dominant chain, further complicating the situation for the minority chain.
