Bitcoin on Track for $150k by Late 2027 as Regulators Bring Clarity
Bitcoin has emerged from its worst phase, according to former Credit Suisse risk head CK Zheng. He believes that greater regulatory clarity will draw institutions into the market, pushing prices towards $150,000 by late 2027.
Zheng, now co-founder and CIO of ZX Squared Capital, points out that the crypto industry has matured since the 2022 bear market cycle. The recent downturn is not a collapse like previous ones but rather a natural correction due to institutional adoption.
The four-year cycle remains structurally in place, with Zheng expecting a new bull market to begin late this year or early next. He ties his price target to fiscal pressures, citing U.S. debt rising at an unprecedented pace in 2027. Institutional investors will need to hedge the dollar debasement risk by investing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
