Bitcoin Options Market Shifts Towards Bullish Sentiment
The Bitcoin options market is showing signs of shifting sentiment as defensive positioning unwinds. This indicates that investors may be turning bullish on the cryptocurrency.
The put/call ratio has dropped sharply to around 0.52 from 0.76 in late June, suggesting a move away from bearish bets. The 25-delta skew has also seen a notable decrease, with the one-week skew dropping near 4%, while longer-dated options maintain a defensive premium.
Implied volatility for Bitcoin options remains compressed, with short-term volatility at 34.3% compared to 40.8% for six months. This indicates that while the market is discounting near-term risks, uncertainty persists for the longer term.
