Bitcoin Outruns Gold in Technical Rally, Analyst Says
Katie Stockton of Fairlead Strategies says Bitcoin's rebound has a stronger technical foundation than gold's recent advance and could have considerably more room to run.
Bitcoin recently cleared its 200-day moving average, a significant technical hurdle, after forming a base in June and retesting the area in July.
The rally may still have capacity before momentum becomes stretched, as Bitcoin is no longer oversold but has not yet reached overbought territory, according to Stockton.
Gold's advance is viewed differently by Stockton, who characterizes it as a countertrend rally rather than a confirmed trend reversal, with resistance potentially arriving sooner than for BTC.
