Bitcoin Outshines Ethereum as Open Interest Diverges
Bitcoin's price continues to outperform Ethereum, even as derivatives market activity in Ethereum increases. At press time, Bitcoin traded around $65,000, while Ethereum was slightly above $1,950.
New statistics show a divergence in the performance of the two most popular cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin depreciated by about 29.77% during the period under consideration, whereas Ethereum's decline stood at approximately 41.96%.
This difference in performance confirms that Bitcoin performed better in attracting investor demand despite unfavorable market conditions. Market participants paid more attention to Bitcoin than Ethereum, allowing it to preserve more of its value.
