Bitcoin Pauses at $79,500 as ETF Inflows and Regulation Take Center Stage
Bitcoin's recent price action has paused after briefly touching $79,500, according to BitFi Research. The Hong Kong-based firm believes that the cryptocurrency's next move will depend on spot ETF inflows and progress on US crypto regulation.
The report notes that about $1.92 billion has recently flowed into US spot Bitcoin ETFs, which could be a key indicator of whether the current rebound can be sustained. However, the market will also be watching for developments in US crypto regulation, particularly from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
BitFi Research points out that investors should pay attention to whether net inflows into ETFs continue even as Bitcoin prices remain elevated. Additionally, they will be monitoring the Coinbase premium, a gauge of spot demand from US investors, which has turned negative.
