Bitcoin Plummets 2.9% Amid Higher Rate Fears
Bitcoin's price took a hit on July 28, 2026, as investors grew anxious about the possibility of higher interest rates. This concern weighed heavily on risk sentiment, causing them to pull back from digital assets. As a result, Bitcoin plummeted by up to 2.9% to $63,018, its lowest level in 11 days.
Ethereum, the second-largest token, also suffered losses, falling as much as 4.1%. However, Bitcoin later pared some of its losses and was down 2.3% at around 8:20 a.m. in New York.
