Bitcoin Policy Institute Exposes Potential Ties Between Anti-Data Center Activists and Chinese Communist Party Sympathizers
A report by the Bitcoin Policy Institute has shed light on potential ties between some prominent anti-data center activists and individuals linked to the Chinese Communist Party. The investigation reveals that these activists, who are pushing to regulate AI and slow down technology, may be beholden to foreign adversaries.
According to the report, Eric Hovagim, a YouTube creator living in China and sympathetic to communism, has connections to Roy Singham, an American millionaire with ties to Code Pink activist Jodie Evans. Singham is known for spreading pro-China propaganda and denying the genocide of Uyghur Muslims.
The Bitcoin Policy Institute points out that Singham is part of the leadership team behind anti-data center activism. This has raised questions about the motivations of major leftist commentators, including Hasan Piker, who may not have America's best interests in mind if their friends are explicit pro-communist sympathizers working to slow down innovation.
