Bitcoin Price Action Halted by Three Structural Barriers
Bitcoin's recent price action has left many wondering if it will ever recover. According to STS Digital CEO Maxime Seiler, the market is facing several structural barriers that are stifling its growth.
The first issue is institutional options selling, which is creating a ceiling for Bitcoin's price. Professional desks and funds have been generating yield by overwriting calls on Bitcoin positions, effectively selling into every spike.
This has created an upside limit that retail-led spot buying is struggling to break through. Meanwhile, the rise of artificial intelligence has drawn capital away from speculative digital assets, including Bitcoin.
The third barrier is regulatory uncertainty in Washington. The US still lacks clear stablecoin and market-structure legislation, which is preventing institutional adoption.
