Bitcoin Price Ceiling Remains at $80,000 Until Fed Signals Policy Shift
CoinShares, a European digital asset investment firm, believes that Bitcoin's price ceiling will remain below $80,000 until the Federal Reserve delivers a clear signal that monetary policy is loosening.
The firm points to recent fund flow data, which shows that Bitcoin-focused investment products pulled in $702 million as of July 18. However, CoinShares characterizes these inflows as 'tactical' rather than 'structural', meaning investors are making short-term trades based on softer inflation data rather than a long-term bullish view.
CoinShares ties Bitcoin's price ceiling directly to Federal Reserve policy and macroeconomic indicators. The firm suggests that meaningful advances toward $100,000 will require evidence of employment weakness or a broader lowering of rate expectations across the market.
