Bitcoin Price Could Reach $400,000 by Early 2029, Analyst Predicts
Crypto analyst Micro2Macr0 predicts that Bitcoin could be approaching its next Golden Cross, which has historically preceded strong price advances. According to his argument, a Golden Cross occurs when the 50-day moving average crosses above the 200-day moving average, and this event often happens after major bear markets in the BTC cycle.
In the past, each time Bitcoin experienced a Golden Cross following a bear market, it led to significant price gains. Micro2Macr0 believes that if a similar scenario unfolds, Bitcoin could eventually reach $400,000 by early 2029. However, this prediction is based on his analysis of historical trends and not an immediate forecast.
To put the analyst's argument into perspective, previous Golden Cross events were followed by price returns ranging from 20 to 100%. Micro2Macr0 argues that these smaller gains across later cycles are due in part to external factors such as the COVID pandemic and rapid Federal Reserve interest rate increases. He suggests that these obstacles may become less influential during the next cycle.
The analyst also points out that gold gained over 250% from its 2022 low to its January 2026 peak, attracting a significant amount of capital. Similarly, AI-related investments absorbed large amounts of money during the latest Bitcoin cycle. Micro2Macr0 estimates that these two areas combined pulled around $35 trillion into their respective runs.
