Bitcoin Price Determined on August 9th Contract
On August 9, 2026, at 7pm EDT, the price of Bitcoin will be determined through a contract offered by Robinhood Derivatives. The contract resolves based on CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI), which collects 60 prices in real-time before expiration. The official and final value is the average of these collected prices.
The contract allows traders to predict whether the price will be at or above certain levels, such as $64,800, $64,900, or $65,000. For every correct prediction, traders receive $1 for each contract they own, with additional fees applying for closing positions before event resolution.
It is essential to note that trading on this contract is restricted to those who do not hold material, non-public information about the underlying asset and are not employed by designated Source Agencies. Additionally, futures, options on futures, and cleared swaps trading involves significant risk and may not be suitable for everyone.
