Bitcoin Price Dips Ahead of FOMC Meeting Amid Rising Inflation Concerns
The Bitcoin price hovered around $77,005 ahead of the September FOMC meeting, as traders reduced risk in anticipation of the Federal Reserve's decision. The cryptocurrency market had declined by 2.01% to $2.65T in 24 hours.
Ether's price was trading at $2,420, while XRP hovered around $1.36. Solana's price stood at $99.31. This pullback was a general precautionary measure taken by traders as the US Producer Price Index (PPI) shot up to 5.4%.
The PPI inflation rate exceeded economists' forecast of 5.3%, signaling ongoing price pressures in the United States. Core PPI rose to its highest point since June 2026 at 4.6%, further supporting concerns about inflation.
