The price of Bitcoin has declined to $63.4k as investors and holders moved approximately $15 billion worth of BTC to safety following a Coldcard exploit.

A total of about 233,000 Bitcoin were moved to new wallets for security after the attack drained vulnerable wallets one by one.

Casa CEO Nick Neuman highlighted that this event showcases the resilience of self-custody, demonstrating users' ability to independently secure their assets without relying on centralized help.

He also emphasized the importance of secure wallet setups, timely updates, and recovery plans for Bitcoin holders managing their own funds.
