Bitcoin Price Dips Below $63,000 as ETFs Suffer Significant Outflows
Bitcoin's price dipped below $63,000, sparking a 38% four-day drawdown in ETFs. The losses were largely attributed to outflows from ARK and Fidelity, which saw combined outflows of $113.9 million. This reversal in capital flows has market participants monitoring whether the trend will persist.
Matt Hougan, Bitwise's chief investment officer, stated that the crypto bear market is showing 'attributes of a real bottom' with Wall Street's support. However, this optimism was tempered by news that Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded a net outflow of $56.2 million on August 14.
Jump Crypto has been selling its BTC holdings this week, depositing over $99 million to Binance. This comes as President Trump is set to meet with crypto industry leaders at the White House on Wednesday, August 19, to discuss the Clarity Act.
