Bitcoin Price Dips Below $63K as US ETFs Suffer Record Outflow
Bitcoin's price fell below $63,000, triggering a sharp sell-off that saw US spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) suffer $265.4 million in net outflows in a single trading session.
The sudden reversal from the previous day's strong inflow of over $230 million marked one of the largest daily withdrawals since mid-July and reinforced concerns about institutional demand for Bitcoin remaining fragile despite occasional signs of recovery.
According to Farside Investors, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the selling with $122.7 million in net redemptions, followed by Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) with $54.8 million in outflows and Grayscale's GBTC losing $52.6 million.
Bitcoin's decline below recent support levels triggered automated liquidations across perpetual futures exchanges, amplifying downside volatility before buyers emerged near the $62,000 region.
