Bitcoin Price Drop Triggers $1B Long Liquidation Threat
Bitcoin's price volatility has reached new heights, and investors are bracing for impact. According to data from CoinGlass, if Bitcoin falls below $75,000, cumulative long liquidation pressure across major centralized exchanges would reach a staggering $1.085 billion.
This is because many investors have taken on significant long positions in the hopes of capitalizing on further price appreciation. However, if the token's price drops below this threshold, these investors will face significant losses as their positions are automatically liquidated by their respective exchanges.
On the other hand, if Bitcoin were to break above $78,000, cumulative short liquidation pressure across major exchanges would reach $609 million. This could lead to a surge in buying activity as short sellers scramble to cover their positions and limit their losses.
