Bitcoin Price Drop Triggers ETF Outflows as Mining Firms Shift Toward AI Infrastructure
Bitcoin's price slipped below $63,000 over the past 24 hours, causing significant outflows from related ETF products. According to data compiled by Woofun AI, multiple Bitcoin ETFs experienced substantial losses, with the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) leading the way with $58.8 million in outflows. Fidelity's FBTC followed closely behind with $55.1 million in redemptions.
Together, these two funds accounted for 64.3% of total outflows from seven products that recorded redemptions. In contrast, Morgan Stanley and Grayscale's Mini Bitcoin Trust (BTC) bucked the trend by attracting capital inflows.
The overall hash rate of the Bitcoin network has also experienced a notable decline, dropping approximately 17% from its all-time high. This decrease is attributed to mining enterprises redirecting resources toward artificial intelligence infrastructure construction.
