Bitcoin Price Drop Triggers Warning of Catastrophic Event

Bitcoin's price has taken a hit over the last 24 hours, dropping 0.71% to $79,363. Despite this decline, some market players are convinced that a catastrophic event is looming on the horizon.

Michael Terpin, an early Puerto Rican Bitcoin investor and self-proclaimed 'Crypto Godfather', believes that a major Bitcoin bottom has already formed near $57,000 or $60,000.

Historically, Terpin notes that Bitcoin's price stagnation and increased volume have often preceded significant market downturns. He points to the collapse of FTX and other firms like Celsius and BlockFi as examples of how a catastrophic event can send prices plummeting.

Terpin estimates an 80% chance that the Bitcoin bottom has already occurred, but warns that investors should not expect a straight climb to $100,000. Instead, he predicts that Bitcoin will likely return to lower levels before making a final price jump.
