Bitcoin Price Drops to $77K Amid Oil Surge; AlphaPepe Presale Gains Momentum
Bitcoin's price has slipped to around $77,000 as oil prices surge and geopolitical tensions push markets into another risk-off phase. Brent crude has traded above $95 a barrel, while rising Treasury yields are putting pressure on equities, crypto, and other high-beta assets.
The macro backdrop remains uncomfortable, with renewed U.S.-Iran hostilities increasing fears of disruption around the Strait of Hormuz, pushing WTI above $90 and Brent toward the mid-$90s. This has led to higher energy prices, which can feed inflation expectations, and bond markets are reacting accordingly.
Bitcoin is defending support after a major August run, but if buyers fail to defend the $76,000 to $75,000 area while macro pressure intensifies, $70,000 could return to the market conversation. On the other hand, a recovery through $78,000 to $80,000 would suggest the shakeout is losing force.
AlphaPepe, on the other hand, remains in its presale phase at $0.02845 before its first public-market candle. The token has raised $2.57 million with over 11,400 holders and is scheduled to close its presale before a DEX launch in Q1 2027.
AlphaPepe's planned listing price starts from $0.08, creating a visible gap between the current price and planned opening level. This has sparked speculation about a possible higher-tier CEX listing, although no such listing has been confirmed.
