Bitcoin Price Enters Volatility Zone Above $65,000
Bitcoin's (BTC) price is expected to enter an important liquidity zone where volatility could rise. According to Hyperliquid data, the largest concentration of short liquidations is located just above the current market price, starting around $65,000.
This level is a significant liquidity magnet with cumulative short leverage of over 1,500 BTC concentrated around it.
While downside liquidation pools have been mostly cleared in prior selloffs, this map indicates that liquidity remains highly concentrated above the current price.
The setup is considered asymmetric, meaning one side has significantly more trading exposure than the other. This could lead to a swift move through $65,000 as forced short covering increases buying pressure on an already rising market.
