Bitcoin (BTC) price slipped to $79,325 on September 7 after another rejection below $82,614 despite net inflows of $986.7 million into US spot ETFs.

The Exponential Moving Average (EMA) gap narrowed to 0.93%, but BTC still needs a daily close above $84,400 to activate $98,068 and $100,000, according to technical analysis.

Paul Howard, Senior Director at Wincent, expects the current structure to support a gradual advance rather than a sudden breakout.

The trend signal underneath the price is considerably closer than it was a week ago, with the gap between Bitcoin's 50-day and 200-day EMAs narrowing from 3.17% to 0.93%.
