Bitcoin Price Fizzles Out at $65,000: Is a Collapse Through $55,000 Next?
Bitcoin's recent price surge to $65,000 has fizzled out, leaving investors wondering what's next for the cryptocurrency. Despite a 1.17% gain over the past seven days, Bitcoin's price is still trading below its 50-day moving average and has failed to reclaim this level.
The data suggests that even with a strong macroeconomic tailwind, including a jobs report that showed a net loss of 23,000 jobs in July, Bitcoin's price action remains bearish. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 50, indicating a neutral momentum gauge, while the Average Directional Index (ADX) sits at 10.6, marking a directionless market.
Prediction markets are also bearish, with Myriad pricing a drop to $55K at 64.6% odds against a run to $84K. The crowd fears a wobble toward $60,000 more than a collapse through $55,000, which aligns with the chart's technical indicators.
For Bitcoin bulls, a daily close back above the golden zone at $64,568 is necessary to reverse the medium-term trajectory and open a run at the $66,921 swing high. However, losing the $62,216 swing low would confirm the lower-low sequence and expose the round $60,000 figure and the $58,000 shelf below it.
