Bitcoin Price Floor Rises as Sellers Disappear Below $60K
A recent drop in Bitcoin's price below $60,000 was brief and short-lived, lasting only about 72 hours. According to Joe Carlasare, a commercial litigator and advocate for Bitcoin, this dip is strong evidence that sellers have largely disappeared from the market at lower price levels.
Citing a lack of sellers, particularly 'diamond-handed' investors who are committed to holding onto their coins, Carlasare argued that this dynamic is pushing Bitcoin's effective price floor progressively higher. He predicted that investors will soon find it increasingly difficult to sell below $100,000, which would become firmly established as a psychological barrier.
In an interview, Carlasare connected the muted pullback in Bitcoin's price to the idea that the cryptocurrency never became 'unreasonably stretched' during its recent run-up. Unlike prior cycles, this one saw a more gradual rise without extreme overextension, which he believes helps explain why the current drawdown was relatively shallow.
