Bitcoin Price Hangs in Balance as FOMC Meeting and CLARITY Act Set Stage for Key Week

The Bitcoin (BTC) price is consolidating in choppy territory, trading at $65,300 and up +1.4% over 24 hours.

Two macro catalysts are converging: the Federal Reserve's FOMC meeting on July 28-29 and the proposed CLARITY Act, which would split digital-asset oversight between the SEC and CFTC.

The FOMC meeting is a key trigger point, with Chair Kevin Warsh signaling zero tolerance for persistent inflation. The CLARITY Act has gained fresh attention after ethics-provision negotiations produced tentative backing.

Bitcoin's behavior during this macro window is crucial to watch. Three scenarios are possible: a dovish FOMC statement sends BTC retesting the upper boundary near $66K-$67K, or Warsh holds firm on inflation vigilance and rates stay put, causing BTC to drift sideways in the $61K-$64K band.

Alternatively, a hawkish surprise or CLARITY Act collapse could send BTC back toward the $58K-$59K zone.
