Bitcoin Price Hits $77,755.77 Amid US Jobs Report Uncertainty
Bitcoin's price has been steadily increasing over the past day, reaching $77,755.77 as of this writing.
This represents a 1.1% gain in value over the same period, with the broader crypto market cap holding steady at around $2.7 trillion.
The total trading volume for cryptocurrencies has reached $73.5 billion, while Bitcoin's share of the overall market capitalization has risen to 59.7%, its highest level in recent times.
Ethereum dominance, on the other hand, remains relatively low at 11.2%.
Market analysts are closely watching the upcoming US Jobs Report, with private payrolls data showing a disappointingly low increase of just 38,000 jobs in August.
This has strengthened the case for a Federal Reserve rate cut, which could have positive implications for both stocks and cryptocurrencies while putting downward pressure on the dollar and Treasury yields.
However, market expert Vikram Subburaj warns that the uncertainty surrounding this potential rate move is capping risk appetite across the crypto space.
Subburaj also notes that on-chain data shows a mixed but not weak picture, with around 68% of Bitcoin's circulating supply still in profit and recent buyers sitting near $71,000.
He cautions that institutional buying has become less consistent following a strong August, which may indicate a shift away from steady support for the market.
