Bitcoin Price Holds Steady Amid Whale Accumulation and Institutional Hesitation
Despite recent short-term volatility, Bitcoin's price prediction remains bullish according to some market analysts. In August, it was reported that whale wallets acquired approximately 30,000 BTC tokens, indicating ongoing accumulation as BTC continues to trade relatively range-bound between $60K and $66K.
The latest estimates of losses caused by a wallet's technical weakness point to a range between 1,400 and 1,700 BTC tokens drained, valued at more than $100 million. Market participants have been losing interest in cryptocurrencies due to unclear use cases compared to other tech spaces like artificial intelligence (AI) and space travel.
Michael Saylor has continued to advocate for Bitcoin, but his recent strategy of selling $440M worth of BTC has added fuel to the fire. The degree to which institutions have adopted blockchain technology remains slow, roughly 17 years after Bitcoin's launch.
