Bitcoin Price Locks in on September 10, 2026: Contract Settles at 10pm EDT
The cryptocurrency market is abuzz with anticipation as the price of Bitcoin (BTC) is set to be determined on September 10, 2026 at 10pm EDT. The Crypto Prediction Market on Robinhood has created a contract that will settle based on the average price of BTC using CF Benchmarks' Real Time Index (RTI). This index collects 60 RTI prices in the last minute before expiration to determine the official and final value.
The contract is offering a payout of $1 for every contract owned if the prediction is correct. Alternatively, traders can close their positions before the event resolves, but additional fees will apply. It's essential to note that trading prohibitions are in place for individuals employed by certain agencies or those with material non-public information on BTC.
The market has set specific price targets, including $76,900 or above (99¢), $77,200 or above (2¢), and $77,400 or above (2¢). The contract will resolve on the designated date and time, providing a snapshot of the cryptocurrency's value at that moment.
