Bitcoin Price May Be Due for Another Pullback Amid Rising Exchange Inflows and Miner Selling
Bitcoin's price has been hovering around $64,000 for several days now, but some analysts believe it may be due for another pullback. According to crypto analyst Ali Martinez, more than 20,000 BTC worth over $1.2 billion have moved onto exchanges in the past week, which is often seen as a bearish signal.
Exchange inflows and miner selling are raising caution among investors. The recent ColdCard wallet incident has also led some to temporarily move their assets from self-custody into centralized exchanges, without necessarily intending to sell. Martinez noted that when coins move onto trading platforms, it often signals rising sell-side pressure.
Miner selling is another bearish signal, with approximately 1,774 BTC sold at around $112 million during the past week. This increase in supply can weigh on prices if demand does not keep pace. Historically, August has been a weak month for Bitcoin, with nine out of the past thirteen years finishing in negative territory.
Market opinions remain divided, with some analysts predicting a potential bull trap driving Bitcoin toward $30,000 later this month. However, others believe that a pullback toward $60,000 could strengthen Bitcoin's technical outlook by confirming an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern, potentially setting the stage for a rally toward $74,000.
